[Scan-DC] Metro Washington Airports

Several friends have asked about the Metropolitan Washington Airports
police and fire freqs, which I receive well here at Tysons Corner. These
appear to be low-powered transmitters at DCA, IAD and at Tysons. (At
Tysons probably so they don't lose coms when cruisers are moving between
airports.)

I get solid coms here at the north end of Vienna, but driving down into the
town of Vienna causes the signals to drop out. In other words, this is not
a high-powered transmitter.

If you're interested, I suggest loading the freqs and driving out near one
of the airports or near Tysons. On the other hand, what you're likely to
get are routine police traffic calls, reports of unattended baggage and the
occasional medical call or fuel spill. Only once did I hear anything
worthwhile...a guy threatening to have a bomb who was inside a commuter
flight at Dulles, with snipers in place around the plane.
