My day for new frequencies. The first 8 freqs listed are freqs that I have
never heard verbal comms on before. Kind of odd for me to have been
searching for 5 months getting verbal comms on 1-2 new freqs a day then all
of the sudden nail 8 new freqs in the same day. Might just have been an
exceptional day for ducting around here.
252.8
Used as Interplane, nothing further gained
261.3
Used as interplane between to unknown A/C discussing how to "paint" weather
cells to locate severe weather areas.
244.0
Aircraft giving altitude and speed to apparent ground station.
235.5
Brief weak comms. Nothing gained.
139.7
Used as interplane. Aircraft stating descending down to 220.
283.35
Sounded like PAX related comms. Heard reference to TM. Also the comms were
prior to engine starts. Strongly suspect V22 Osprey due to terminology used.
138.45
Used as apparent interplane. Unusual comms. Strong BUZZ in Background.
Nothing more gained.
365.25
Used as interplane, brief comms, nothing more gained
386.85
Still working this one in AM mode. Can't seem to put my finger it usage as
yet. The signal is decent but comms are scratchy and broken. I know the
comms are PAX related. Appear to be some comms I would normally expect to
hear on the PAX Trunk System. I have switched it over to FM mode and will
try that for a day or 2 to see what comes back. Later today, comms where
still broken but it definitely sounded like a Trunk Control Signal coming
through. Possibly some sort of Sub-harmonic from the 400-420 Mhz Trunk
System at PAX. Hopefully FM mode will yield better results.
143.025
Used as interplane for apparently 2 A/C. I did not hear C/S but these were
evidently "PAT" A/C using this freq as a chit/chat freq. Toward the end of
the comms I lost one A/C but had the other Loud & Clear. So they were
obviously not flying together.
244.2
822DR @ 12 thousand about 15 SW of Patuxent, with apparent ATC.
385.3
Extremely weak, brief verbal comms, nothing gained
376.35
A/C in comms with NIGHTHAWK 41 or 401. I could barely hear NIGHTHAWK.
Sounded like that were doing AR ops training. Kept hearing "Pre-Contact" and
other AR related terms used. I could not catch the C/S of the tanker. I
remember someone telling me about a C-130 Training squadron down in Cherry
Point (I think). I had these comms before from this unit. But this freq does
not come back as anything in my records.
351.75
Sounded like "WARRIOR" in comms with another A/C about an HF radio problem.
Requested other A/C get with Dobbins about possible change out tomorrow.
273.8
A/C advising direct OCEANA.
235.2
Brief comms, possibly used as interplane.
225.4
Brief comms but it sure sounded like RUSSIAN language.
307.25
COSMIC 01 with WASH CTR at 17K
337.0
Brief verbal comms used, nothing gained
390.95
Very brief weak, verbal comms. Definitely A/C in ACM but I could not get
much more out of it
