[Scan-DC] Southern MD Audio Log Notes (05/19/04)

Not much today. Did get a couple of tags as well as 2 pretty interesting
catches that I hope I can get more on.

385.3
Used as interplane for apparent flight of 2. Conducting checks for Red/Green
comms.

227.4
Weak comms, could barely make out that verbal comms used.

226.3
Weak, brief comms. Nothing gained

337.0
A/C reporting 15 minutes out, nothing further heard

344.5
Goliath Bravo conducting radio checks with GK. 2 way contact made. Freq
comes back as a known GK freq and I am tagging as FACSFAC VACAPES for now.

349.9
Heard ROMAN 31 with unheard station. Asking if it was thought that the could
get back in before the weather. Freq comes back as "349.9 - Dover AFB CP
ALCE OPS" but I want to catch more on it before assigning the tag. For what
it is worth, here are my past intercepts:

Brief comms, nothing gained

232.3
VIPER 21, working with VIPER "TEST" and VIPER GROUND. VIPER 21 in the area
and @ 5K'. They were doing some test on something called "GEEZER" (to
clarify, slang for Elderly man.). Numerous references to GEEZER ON/GEEZER
OFF. Referenced being in the restricted area.

233.9
Similar comms as above (232.3). Could not figure out of VIPER 21 was
simocasting on this freq or I was hearing VIPER GROUND or VIPER "TEST". But
this freq was definitely involved with the freq above. I did hear on this
freq that they mentioned this was a successful 1st test. This freq comes
back as a Dahlgren Range CTRL freq. I have nothing in house for 232.3.
Hopefully more comms on this freq will follow.

MASH 84 checking in with GK CTRL at 270. Freq comes back as GK freq and I am
tagging as FACSFAC VACAPES for now.
