Not a bad day considering I am working some many seldom used freqs.
138.875
Well, I am tired of messing with this one. I must have had over an hours
worth of recorded audio from a Cell Site Sub-Harmonic. Seems to be this new
SINGULAR Cell Phone net as a few times people Dialed information and the
Operator stated Singular. They must have put some antennas up on one of the
towers nearby. If any body has any comments as to what can be done to
minimize picking up these comms I'd love to hear about them. I figured if I
have them on this freq as strong as they are I am likely to start havinf
problems on other nearby freqs as well so I might as well do a little bit of
thinking as to what I can do about it if need be. In the meantime, I am
going to attenuate this freq and see if that helps it out.
349.9
Weak comms, nothing gained. Sounded like A/C reporting 20 minutes out but
not clear enough to be certain. Later the scanner just locked up on this
freq with no apparent signal for 2-3 hits for several minutes on each hit. I
went ahead and attenuated it.
385.3
Apparent Flight of 4 conducting TIMBER CHECKS. Heard comms from 11 & 13 but
not from 12, Referenced Switch 346.25 in the Prime.
339.6
Used as interplane for apparent ACM for several players, unsure as to how
many. C/S was "LION". Later heard Salty Dog Flight of 2. All A/C appeared to
be doing A-G practice. Lynn B. puts out likely freq usage is: MAEWR
(MID_ATLANTIC ELECTRONIC WARFARE RANGE) R5306 MONITOR for the CHERYY POINT
TARGETS. I am not going to tag it just yet but due to the different players
on this freq at different times I suspect is ID is exactly what I am
hearing. Like to get a couple more logs on it first.
240.1
Weak garbled comms of Multiple A/C with apparent ATC. Still suspecting
harmonic of 120.05 from PAX
138.1
SMASH, flight of 2, using as interplane. SMASH and 138.1 both comms back as
good for NJ-ANG so that being the case the freq is considered tagged and is
locked out. These guys were doing some A-G training unsure of where but
suspect Aberdeen as they referenced targeting a NUKE storage site.
138.075
Used as interplane. Unsure of who but definitely had me suspecting these
were possibly the Thunderbirds as they seemed to be focusing on flying in
close quarters to a RWY like they were getting there bearings for setting up
the show. Might not have been the Thunderbirds but I do suspect air show
related. Will keep working it, hopefully more comms this weekend will
confirm.
384.55
Nasty comms, All audio had a buzzing noise associated with them. Almost
suspected of wrong mode but uncertain. Appeared to be used for interplane.
344.5
Brief comms, nothing gained
273.8
Weak comms, apparently used as interplane but I could not get anything more
out of it.
