>355.3 REACH 143T calling QUANTICO OPS. Good enough for me. Tagged as
such
355.3 is listed in the DoD IFR Sup and AirNav as the Quantico Mtero
(weather) freq. Looking at some other background material looks like the
grunts get dual usage from this freq (Base Ops and Metro).
>277.6 Brief comms, nothing gained. Comes back as a known NORAD freq.
Northeast Air Defense SOCC NORAD Tactical: AWACS-SOCC
Coordination/Calling Frequency
>341.9 Used as interplane between apparent flight of 2 in apparent ACM.
I can't find anything for 341.9 but 341.95 is commonly used at PAX for
Helos. But the C/S I kept hearing on this
>freq sounded like "HARDY", which comes back to some C-130s. These were
fighters so I will keep working it.
We have had US Navy F/A-18 aircraft in and around the Snowbird MOA here
use this one. Probably an outfit out of Oceana. Jack Painter your phone
is ringing.
>295.8 Used as interplane for AR coordination between 2 A/C. Comes back
as AR freq from multiple sources. Good enough for me, Will tag as AR
freq for now and will strive to but
>better detail on it later.
Yep a NORAD AAR discrete nationwide along with several routed tracks and
anchors.
>230.3 Weak comms, could not get much out of it. Did hear reference to
"JUMPERS AWAY". My records bring back nothing on a history for this
freq. I will keep working it.
This is a spectrum hole Jeff. See my MT Milcom column in the April
issue.
73 all and good hunting,
