  Most common routes thru Jefferson County are 340, &  Route 9.  There is
also a huge housing area called "Shannondale".

  PD units are ID'd by number only, but Charlestown, Harpers Ferry, Ranson,
and Shepardstown College all work off of the 154.875, as does the WVSP.
Typical dispatch will sound like "Any state or county unit for the signal 9
in Shannondale".   Jefferson County does not use the APCO 10 code plan,
relying instead on a set of "Signal" codes.  Altho they have 911, many
addresses are "The white house down route 9, 3/4 of a mile from the old post
office" or something like that.
