Hosts His First Open House
Prince George's County, Maryland.The Prince George's County Police
Department will be hosting an exciting Open House for the community on
Saturday, May 1, 2004.
New Additions: There will be a child safety seat installation
demonstration, a health table with free blood pressure screening, WPGC
95.5 radio station will be on site, as well as the Redskin
Cheerleaders. Outback Steakhouse and Lassicks Restaurant will provide
food for the event. So come out and join the Chief as he hosts his
first Open House.
This event will be fun and informative for all who attend. Community
members will have an opportunity to participate in a guided tour that
will showcase the many working components of your police department,
not normally accessible to the public. This event will also feature
numerous presentations from our operational and investigative
sections. While this incredible showcased tour is taking place inside
the facility, outside will include a score of other exciting events to
include: a view of our Police Aviation Helicopter, demonstrations by
the Drug Detection and Bomb Dogs, and a bicycle rodeo for children
twelve and under. Children are encouraged to bring their bicycles to
the Open House. Food and drinks will be served.
This daylong event will be held at the Police Services Complex, 7600
Barlowe Road in Palmer Park, Maryland, which will begin at 11:30 a.m.
until 4:00 p.m. County Executive, Jack B. Johnson, will deliver the
opening remarks. The media is encouraged to attend. Additional
details on events and displays will be forth coming.
