Typically it refers to where the Beltway crosses the Potomac. The American
Legion Bridge used to be called the Cabin John Bridge. AFAIK, the northern
approach to Reagan along the Potomac is called a Cabin John approach, the
southern approach along the Potomac is called Mount Vernon approach.
