Good Morning,
FYI: The term "SOF", as it is used here, refers to a USAF flying
squadron position "Supervisor of Flying" and is a usually assigned on a
rotational (often daily) to senior rated officer. Duties are usually
focused on safety and include a variety of tasks and he/she needs to be
flexible depending on the day and circumstance. He may conduct
end-of-runway inspections (EOR), aircraft preflight inspections, weather
and maintenance liaison, wing/group/squadron coordination, etc.
