[Scan-DC] CAP intercept over DC

I heard the 2 fighters fly over my house and immediately monitored the
shoutcast online dc mil cap scanner..
instantly heard BRAVE 1 and another with HUNTRESS .. they caught up with the
plane.. did a couple flybys and ID'd the tail# as N48xx (last two characters
removed for privacy)

plane info from landings.com ...

Aircraft Manufacturer          : BYLAND J H
         Model                 : CHRISTEN EAGLE II
Engine   Manufacturer          : LYCOMING
         Model                 : AEIO-360 SER
Aircraft Year                  : 1982

OMAHA was also in contact with fighters.. they caught up with it.. escorted
to an undisclosed airport and i havent heard anything more on the radio..

the scramble seemed to go well

awhile later i saw it on CNN which you are describing as happening 30 min
ago..
i was monitoring from the begining when the fighters took off.. thats all i
know..

cnn seemed to exagerate the situation.. this wasnt as bad as when they
chased down that plane at 3-4000 ft all the way up to frederick awhile ago
