Thanks... Alll is working well except DC... And...in the search mode I get DC just fine.  There is some setting somewhere I need to change but have not stumbled on it yet...

(in the search mode, when DC is coming through, it shows DG as the mode.  This descriptor is not listed among the receive modes shown in the manual.....)

Except for the DC thing, I am quite pleased and as you said, it runs right out the box with the pre-loads...

Although it is extremely helpful, you won't need the software & cable to
monitor Fairfax out of the box.  Follow the procedures in the manual for
loading up the V-scanner profile for DC/MD/VA and you will be monitoring
Fairfax, Loudoun, & MoCo in about 5 mins.

Since DC is in the process of turning up their new digital trunked system,
that info willnot be pre-programmed.  You will want the cable & s/w to do
this.  Check out trunkedradio.net for all the current info on the new DC
system.
