I'm surprised at the "no simulcasts".  Howard Fire and Police have always had
frequency lists to hand out at the county fair.

FYI only, Howard will be going 100% digital effective 10/1/03. The
current radios (mobile & portable) will be reprogrammed to reflect the
digital modes, and the ops will be in the "D" (delta) zones while the
radios are being reprogrammed. *No* other TGs will be simulcast (aside
from Fire 1/a1, fire dispatch) on VHF. Time to break open the wallets
and get a digital scanner / radio, I'm afraid. (and no, I don't know if
Howard county will be doing a media radio sharing program).
