[Scan-DC] Digital Monitoring in Loudoun County

So maybe I've been hearing them all along, but just haven't realized it.
Here's what I know about unit numbers (radio IDs) for LCSO:

Patrol units will have a 3-digit radio ID XYY, as follows:

X= shift number (1,2, or 3)
YY = Sector number (1 - 15; maps to patrol area).

So, for example, a deputy in sector 5 on first shift would be unit 105. A
deputy on 3rd shift in sector 12 would be 312, etc. There is generally a
single deputy assigned per sector, except for power shift (shift 2 & 3
overlap for a few hours in the evening hours), so an additional unit in
sector 12 might be "312 alpha."

Some Special Ops units have unique designators, such as the motorcycle units
which are simply Motor 1, Motor 2, etc.

Sheriff's Auxilliary units are 3-digit IDs, all beginning with 6.

Deputies assigned to schools have IDs that begin with SRO (School resource
officer?).

There are some users on the system that use 4-digit IDs on the radio, which
are their county ID numbers. An example would be a non-uniformed employee
at the jail.

There are some IDs I have not figured out yet, which may actually be the
independent PDs. For example, I just heard an 8XX ID. There are also
occasions when I hear 2-digit IDs, which I have not yet figured out.

Randy
