[Scan-DC] Uniden vs. Radio Shack

A friend of mine reported that historically, Uniden trunked scanners were 
much faster than Radio Shack to lock onto a trunked conversation while scanning.  
Has anyone had any experience with the two?

Has anyone done a "compare and contrast" between the two?  I realize that 
this may be difficult to do in the context of newly released scanners, but I am 
trying to decide whether the time to buy is soon or if I should just wait it 
out.
