   Rich Wells' popular site http://www.strongsignals.net has some VERY hot
news on the new RS/GRE PRO96. It seems, for example, that they paid
attention to the software from the other PRO9x series, and have an alpha
version of Win96 from Don Starr doing the programming; and they are using
data from trunkedradio net for loading their virtual banks.

   Rich's site also has a PRO96 board at:
   http://www.strongsignals.net/access/boards/pro-96/board.cgi

   and finally, there are no less than 4 PRO96 boards now on Yahoo groups;
they are (in order of size, largest first):

   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RS_GRE-Digital-Scanner/
   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RadioShackPro96/
   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PRO-96owners/
   http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PRO-96/

   Of particular interest is that it appears that the areas that have
digital systems already in place will be the areas to which the scanner
will ship first. That means that, for us, the state of Delaware, Baltimore
city, Howard, Montgomery and St.Mary's counties, ect. will be the places to
watch for this scanner first.

   We'll add a few of these links to our site in the near future.
