[Scan-DC] Med channel usage in Mont.county

I wouldn't be so quick to write off the use of these freqs; just looking
at them for a hour or two isn't a good test of whether a freq is in use or
not. Park a scanner on these freqs and use a good tool like Scanner
Recorder for a day or more, now *that's* checking a frequency.
It's a bit more challenging since it seems PG and Mont share the same Med
channel usage (and I have heard, albeit rarely, activity on these freqs).
Since I work in PG, I'm assuming I'm hearing PG county activity, but I'm
not familiar with the hospitals in this area to be absolutly sure. Having
both counties share the same channels would provide interoperability; more
important now, since Mont has gone 800. As a backup system (should the 800
system failsoft out or crash altogether), it's way too valuable to lose.
Nonetheless, if we can get a definitive answer on this, and Mont has
indeed left the Med channels behind, I'll see to it they're deleted from
our page.
73s and thanx...Mike
