Fairfax County has the frequencies in their radio's but DOES NOT have a
repeater set up on any of the frequencies. I monitor all of them and someone
in the metro area does have a base set up on it. I hear morse code
identifiers on some of the frequencies but I don't know where they are
coming from. I live in western Fairfax County and judging from the amount of
static in the background I don't think it's Prince Wiliam County either. I
receive Prince William on other frequencies loud and clear with full
quieting.

As luck would have it I am prersently at 10:30 am edt on 8/12/03 hearing
patched radio traffic on NPSAC tac 1, sounds like a FD but they aren't
mentioning any locations. It's on a repeater but scratchy and not local in
origin or in my opinion geographically close to western Fairfax County.
