Quite possible Ed. I am working from memory and I am married so I can't =
be
expected to have a good one. :-)=20

I wish I had pulled over and jotted it down, I'll probably never hear =
them
use the term again.

I'll do some checking on this ITAC system. That's probably what it was.

Thanks

Have a good one,

Jeff

I wonder if what you heard was "TAC," rather than "PAC?" There are =
"ITAC
1-4" talkgroups on zone 13 (COG) of the Montgomery County system. I =
believe
they're intended for intercounty comms.

Subject: [Scan-DC] Radio system question

The other night while driving to work I heard 2 radio techs talking on =
the
St. Mary's EDAC system. They were having some problems with the mutual =
aid
portion of the system. One tech was advising the other that the problem
would not be solved in the morning. He advised that PMARS was fine and =
FMARS
and one other system would not work over night and would be addressed in =
the
morning.

He stated the name of the system and I did not recognize it. I meant to =
go
to work and jot it down to research later and forgot all about it until =
now.
If memory serves, he called the system "????PAC" or possibly "????PACS", =
3-4
letters then PAC at the end.

Could somebody help me refresh my memory by telling me this word? I'd =
like
to do a net search on it and familiarize myself with it.

Have a good one,

Jeff
