[Scan-DC] Need help identifying possible trunked system

Jeff,
Thanks for the input. The thing that really struck me odd about this is =
that
within about a 15 second period 3 of these went active with an apparent
control channel. Then about a minute later the fourth kicked in. I did =
not
have a trunker set up at the time to thoroughly check them out. I =
monitor
PAX quite a bit and periodically have heard their system put the control
channel on each freq just for a moment or 2. I have heard this late at
night, usually not long after midnight just after the control freq =
changes
for the day. I am unfamiliar with the intricacies of these systems so I =
am
not sure if it is just a glitch or not.
=20
Anyway, when I heard the first three channels fire up with the apparent
control channel I associated that with what I have heard on PAX's =
system. I
was thinking along the lines that these freq might all be part of the =
same
system since the way it acted reminded me of PAX.
=20
I'll keep recording audio on the freqs. If they appear to be active =
enough I
might look into putting them into a trunker as well.
=20
Have a good one,
=20
Jeff

Jeff and List,=20
Darn, I woke up late again! In the early morning hours ducting on some
mornings is really good. Using trunker I have identified some of these =
data
channels.=20
406.725 Eastern Virginia Regional Communications system. This system =
ties
in together Ft. =20
Lee, Norfolk NOB, and Hopewell. I got a system ID of 791a
when running trunker=20
on the data heard on this frequency. System info is at
trunkedradio.net. =20
408.350 I have that listed as Cherry point MCAS, NC and USN Kings Bay, =
GA.
I don't think I=20
have analyzed data on that freq yet.=20
409.225 ?=20
409.700 Also listed as Cherry Point MCAS, NC=20
Without any further data such as a sys id or additional frequencies I =
cannot
confirm the above. This is based on the data I have. You may want to =
try
running these frequencies thru trunkedradio.net search tool to get =
updated
systems.=20
Hope this helps,=20

This AM at 0742 I was scanning all of my unknown freqs. Then the =
following=20
happened. 406.725 went active with an apparent trunk control channel, =
then=20
4-5 seconds later 408.35 did the same then finally 409.225 went active =
with=20
a control channel as well. All three control channels sounded the same. =
All=20
this happened within a time frame of about 15 seconds=20
I am assuming that all three are associated with the same system. Does=20
anybody have a clue as to which system these might be a part of?=20
I just found these freqs on 7/13/03 and to date have not caught any =
verbal=20
comms on them other than this apparent control channel audio this =
morning.=20
While typing this, an additional apparent control channel kicked off, it =
being 409.7.=20
If anybody could help me put an ID to these freqs or associate them with =
a=20
trunked system in the area I would certainly appreciate it.=20
Thanks,=20
