Jeffery:

341.95 is a VF-143 discrete, F-14's from Oceana. '211' would be the side
numbers of an F-14
squadron, although, they may have started using them for the F-18E/F
squadrons replacing them, also. Not
sure.

Keep listening to 342.0 and to Oceana tower/app/dep freqs to see if numbers
match up.

Folks I have audio of 211 calling unknown on 342. The second and final
transmission from the aircraft was requesting current weather information.

A quick PERCON search revealed that this freq is in use by "MTN" as NDB,
this ID does not set well with me as I am not used to hearing verbal comms
on an NDB freq like this. Does anybody else have any better idea of just who
this was that "211' was talking to?

Have a good one,

Jeff
