Folks,
I have not been able to personally confirm this one yet as I have not =
caught
any comms whatsoever on this freq today. But, from what I see from SCAN =
MD,
BEN and John it I am leaning toward the idea of this being the NASA =
wallops
Island Paging freq.=20

I did hear a couple of very brief transmissions on it yesterday, after =
the
initial post, nothing substantial but I did hear what sounded like one =
of
these voice pagers. It sounded very similar to the ones we used to use =
at
PAX. Hopefully I can catch enough audio on it and can pull some context
clues to confirm through listening as well.

Thanks to all those who threw their thoughts out.

170.400 NASA PAGING SYSTEM

Have a good one,

Jeff

Thanks for the update. Upon checking my data base, I suspect what he =
is
hearing on 170.4000 mhz. is NASA paging at the Research Center in =
Hampton,
Va.,
or NASA paging at Wallops Island in Accomack Co., Va. I suspect the =
latter
location.
