The signup is unobtrusive. Or noninvasive. Whatever. I can't think of the
right word now. You can always use a fake address and delete the cookies
as soon as you are done.

Note to Washington Post writers reading this: 

Fake address? In theory only, of course. Also, be sure to call the cable
company to tell them you have installed the descrambler.
