My Uniden BC235 Trunktracker I has gone deaf at 800 MHz. It will no longer lock
onto a control channel, and barely receives trunked systems in conventional
 mode.
1) Any reccomendations on a repair facility ?
2) Reccomendations for a new trunking scanner. My needs are relatively simple (I
 think):

Most systems in my area (central MD) are analog Motorola, but there are 2 new
digital ones (I currently monitor Howard Cnty VHF freqs, and am not too
interested in Balto City). There are a couple of EDACS systems also.

The ability to track VHF and UHF systems would be nice, there are a couple of
 gov't installations nearby.

Most important is the ability to scan conventional and trunked at the same time,
typically it would be 1 Moto system and a couple of banks of conventional
freqs. But sometimes it could be more than 1 trunked system too.

I presently use the 235 in the Trunked Search Mode most of the time with
specific talkgroups locked-out, occaisionaly I use the Trunk Scan Mode for
talkgroups I've programmed into the scan lists.

Can any of the new models operate in a trunk search mode AND scan banks of
conventional freqs at the same time? Or do they only work in a trunk scan list
mode while also doing conventional banks?

The ability to ID PL tones on conventional freqs and then lock on them only when
a transmission with the PL tone is present would be good.

My neighbor has a PRO-93 which seems to do most of the above, then there is the
PRO-92, BC-245, and the new digital ones, so I don't know which to choose. Any
input based on actual ownership/use would be appreciated.
