1. U.S. COAST GUARD:

CG Activities Baltimore (157.15)- in radio checks w/USCGC James Rankin 
(WLM-555, Baltimore). Later in the day James Rankin was on patrol in the Baltimore 
Harbor, Upper Chesapeake Bay areas.

CG Activities Baltimore (157.15)-w/USCGC Gallatin (WHEC-721, Charleston SC) 
in small boat operations.

CG Station Annapolis (157.05) worked a SAR and towing operation w/a CG 21-ft 
utility craft in the Annapolis area. Pleasure craft Stingy Dee was disabled 
and Station Annapolis coordinated the search and towing operation. 

CG 212047 (21-ft utility boat) w/man overboard training under control of CG 
Station Curtis Bay (157.175) in the 1400 hour.

CG 41359 (41-ft utility boat) w/Activities Baltimore (157.15) reporting 
departure in early 1900 hour w/8 POB for harbor patrol.

2. U.S. CUSTOMS:

In the early 1400 hour EDT had lots of encrypted comms on 166.5125. Also had 
spurt of clear voice with unidentified station in radio checks with Superman 
(unidentified).

In the mid 1500 hour Omaha 03 (probable UH-60) was working with Thor (not 
heard-165.2375 PL 100) for vectoring onto an unidentified target which they 
eventually acquired visually and followed to the Ft Meade airport. F-16s on CAP 
duty (228.9) were being kept abreast of the activity. They were flying at 4,000 
ft over Omaha 03. One of the F-16 pilots identified the target as a bug smasher 
(i.e. helo).  Omaha 03 apparently landed at Ft Meade to check out the 
aircraft since at 1620 EDT Omaha 03 advised Thor that they were 10-8 off of Ft meade 
enroute to home base, which Omaha 03 verified was Reagan National.
