Was anyone monitoring the air frequencies near Frederick or Montgomery County last night around 645pm to 7pm.  I caught the United States Park Police on 166.925 issuing evacuation procedures for The Ellipse and the "monuments".  Apparently MSP Trooper 1's identifying beacon went out while on a medivac mission from Frederick to Suburban and it took a moment to switch to vocal communications.  In the process, it triggered alarms for the FAA and the Secret Service.  Some of the transmissions I hear included "White House has begun its emergency procedures" and "Cut all traffic around the Monument and get those people out of there." I'd be curious if anyone heard similar stuff.  MSP has confirmed the incident and said the problem on Trooper 1 has been repaired. Dan
