[Scan-DC] VHF/UHF Propagation

The 2m and 440 amateur bands were moderately open this morning, and are
still slightly open now.  The band opening is in the direction of north
east.  The opening mainly follows the I-95 corridor from DC all the way up
to Cecil County, Maryland.

Propagation forcasts are calling for an extremely intense band opening
through out the day Friday.  The VHF/UHF bands will be open in the direction
of north east all the way up to New York and Connecticut.  This will allow
for enhanced 2m and 440 FM signal distances, and may allow greater reception
of police/scanner frequencies of those departments that are underneath the
opening.
