I am studying to get my Technician/plus HAM license after 25 years sitting
around monitoring. Since my slant in radio is scanning I thought some of you
guys might be able to offer some advice and or direction. I got 57% out of
75% taking the on-line ARRL practice test with no studying in about 15 years
so I feel with a little help, I can do the rest. Also have signed up as a
member of VA-RACES. But again scanning is my main forte, can even memorize
frequencies on the fly.
Is there a local Net ( Amatuer) for scanning buff's? 2m or 70cm ?
Thanks,
Greg S. Danes
P.S
Must have got all this from my dad, he worked various broadcast stations
around the country and his last stint was 9 years with the VOA until he died
of Cancer in 1999.
