[Scan-DC] Montgomery County Police - 6th District

Hi there,

District 5 is Germantown district - is still on 493.337 and will cover 
Germantown, Clarrksburg, Damascus. District 6 - or 6 D as they like to say it 
- will be Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village, Darnestown, parts of 
Laytonsville. They are using the old Channel 7 Tac North. The reason they are 
doing this so close to cut over is because they have to get used to being on 
a different channel - becaue when PS2000 goes live - They will be on a 
different talk group and they will have to get used to not hearing the other 
traffic and concentrate more on their own area. They will not be replaced 
Channel 7 - northern tac w/ another channel - they will all use channel 6 as 
their tac channel and most of them have already been issued their 800 mhz 
portables and have begun using those as well.
