Uniden threw that in so that they could claim "software included!"
Of course, they didn't claim that it was useful software.
Others have said that E-Scanner Plus is really Scan Cat
written in partnership with Uniden and is a totally different
program than the junk that comes with the scanner.
Butel is reputed to have good stuff and I know guys who
love Andy Foremiak's programmer.
It depends on how much capability you want and how much
money you want to spend.
