He he,
Just imagine what was going through those hunters minds. "Ssshhh, I hear
something, get ready!"
Reminds me when I took my wife's grandmother rasberry picking at PAX. We
were coming around a bend in the road one Saturday heading to a field =
next
to the tethered hover area and a Cobra was down there doing Nap of the =
Earth
training. We had the radio on, the ac cranking, and the windows up so we =
did
not hear him until he popped up about 150' in front of us. He was nosed
right at us. I think I even made out the big grin on the Pilots face. He
turned away pretty quickly and went on his way but it was too late. =
Grandma
did not know what I had gotten her into. She got so shook up I had to =
take
her home. I laughed for hours. :-)
Take it easy,

All:
There are no Harriers based at Camp David. I was monitoring this
incident Saturday nite, but didn't put it out over any net due to my =
concern
for "security" issues, since I didn't know exactly what "they" had up =
there.
I do know, tho, that those Harriers buzzed pretty low (from traffic at =
one
point they were at 1000 feet) as I heard them come right over my house. =
(I
don't live too far from David).
I know from my own USMC Air Wing experience what a Harrier sounds =
like,
they were def. Harriers. But, I don't know why they weren't assigned a =
call
sign. Huntress was talking to them direct, as "Harrier 01 and Harrier =
02".
Again, my apologies for not putting this out over the net right away, =
but
I chose to "err" on the side of caution at the time. Had I known they =
were
looking for stray hunters and not something else, rest assured, it would
have been out on the airwaves.
