It could have been help for review by the admin. If it has keywords, or a
the wrong e-mail you signed up for would be held-up.
I would have Alan check on that.

Subject: [Scan-DC] Email Question
Forgive me for being off topic but this might help someone else on the list
besides me.
I am using the email below as an example and I'll try to explain my issue.
The email was sent Saturday, January 18, 2003 9:09 PM. I use earthlink for
my ISP as well as for the email account at which I receive all of my
scanning related stuff from various email servers and lists. I did not
receive the email below until around 0730 Sunday morning. I know it was not
in my inbox until about that time as I have been on the net since about 0300
and have had Outlook open and automatically checking mail every 3 minutes.
I see the same issue quite often, where I don't get the messages in a timely
fashion, and it kind of defeats the purpose sometimes of being able to tune
to the action.
I am sure some of you have seen this and looked into it, so I thought I
would put it out on the list. Is there anything I can do, on my end, to
speed up the process? I do have a yahoo email address I can switch to if
that would help with the problem. But I don't really want to do that unless
I have a warm fuzzy that it will solve the problem, as I subscribe to about
30 different email lists/servers. I don't want to switch over if the delay
is coming from the qth sever.
In case it might help I have copy the specifics of the track of the email
below. I have "X"ed out the specifics of the senders specific information, I
think.
I think I might have to try a little experiment and sign up the yahoo
account in this list and see which one tends to receive faster on a
consistent basis. But I still would be interested in hearing any feedback
from others on this.
Thanks and I again apologize for the off topic post.
Jeff Smith
