JC,
I tracked the Fairfax County system today as well, and the audio sounded
good. I supposed I could have improved it, but I was in control channel
only mode, and I think you need a channel with P-25 voice on it to
adjust the audio settings. But it really didn't need much improvement.
One thing I did notice is that the I-calls weren't coming through, even
with the I-call option turned on and with the I-call-only option. I
know there were I-calls occurring because I saw them on the activity
indicator when the scanner was sitting on the control channel. Is it
possible the BC250D can't decode Fairfax County's I-calls? I remember
reading in the BC780 manual that Motorola I-call performance varies by
system.
Overall, it's a great scanner.
Dave

Subject: [Scan-DC] Fairfax County System and the 250D
Has anybody been able to track the Fairfax County
system with the new 250D? All I am able to receive on
any of the digital talkgroups is a short burst of data
and then a low volume hum. I had heard that this is a
3600 baud system, so I don't think that is the issue.
Any suggestions?
