[Scan-DC] What kind of episode?

Another EMS radio question for the list:

Frequently, one hears Mtgy County medic units transporting patients who have 
fainted and recovered - this is obvious from the transmissions.  What I 
don't understand is the term they're saying... it sounds like

"post-stinktal"

Of course, fainting is "syncope", and I suspect that what they're trying for 
is something like "synctal", but that term doesn't show up in WebMD...

Anybody know exactly what they're saying?

By the way, does the verb "CON-sult" bother anyone else besides me?  It's 
"con-SULT"!!

(As in "chimbley"!)
