I recently spent 4 days along the Outer Banks of North Carolina.=20
On December 17 The Wright Memorial at Kill Devil Hills paid tribute
to Wilbur and Orville Wright for their first successful flight on that =
date
in 1903. In celebration 99 airplanes flew over the Monument beginning
at about 10:35 a.m. marking the 99th anniversary of aviation.=20
The small unmanned airstrip adjacent to the monument is named "First =
Flight" and operates on 122.9 as a self announce Multicom frequency =
only. =20
=20
On Dec 17 the 333rd Fighter Squadron, "Lancers" , from Seymour Johnson =
AFB set up a temporary control tower at the Memorial for the day's =
flying activities.=20
=20
I found the following frequencies in use:
=20
122.9 Wright Brothers Radio, "Victor"
358.8 Wright Brothers Radio, "Uniform"
122.7 Manteo Control, aircraft holding for the fly over
349.1 Manteo Control, aircraft holding for the fly over
123.475 U.S. Army Golden Knights air-ground comms=20
165.1125 Wright Brothers ramp control aircraft ops
381.8 U.S. Coast Guard formation fly over
163.075 National Park Service=20
123.175 Unidentified formation air-air=20
164.300 Unidentified air operation
=20
NOTE: Traditionally the ranges are used as a staging and holding area =
for the memorial's fly over participating aircraft .

358.8 is also the primary frequency for the Navy Dare Bomb Range
349.1 is the primary frequency for the USAF Dare Range
