Steve,
I can't receive Arlington County from Fredericksburg, but I haven't
installed my 800 MHz yagi on the roof yet (looking for someone qualified
to do it). Even with the yagi up, I'm not sure I'll be able to hear
Arlington, as I can barely receive the new Prince William control
channel. Maybe some others in the Fredericksburg area could comment on
reception of trunked systems...?
Regarding whether Arlington will switch to digital trunking, I believe I
have heard in the past that Arlington and Alexandria are installing the
digital radios, or already have them installed and are using them in
analog mode. It would seem like it's only a matter of time before Arl.
and Alex. switch to digital, especially considering all their neighbors
are digital.

Does anyone in the Fredericksburg area receive Arlington trunked signals
in a base-station application?
And does anyone know if and when Arlington will switch to digital
trunking?
Thanks,
Steve Marshall
