1. In the early 0800 hour the Cutter Sledge (WLIC 75303, Baltimore)
w/Activities Baltimore (157.15) reporting they are departing CG Yard. The
Sledge was also working w/CG 49-428 (49-ft utility boat) on 157.15. The
Sledge informed that 49-428 that they would be working in the Middle River &
Gunpowder River areas today and the Chester River tomorrow. During their chat
they revealed that after Jan 1 CG 49-428 would be transferring up to CG
Station Cape May NJ. In the late 1800 hour 49-428 reported to Activities
Baltimore (157.15) that their mission was complete and they had entered the
CG Yard at Curtis Bay.
2. In the early 0900 hour CG 21-2047 (21-ft ulitlity boat) worked w/CG
Station Curtis Bay (157.175) as they departed on patrol.
3. In the late 1300 hour caught CG 6527 (HH-65, CGAS Atlantic City) calling
CG Group Atlantic City on chnl 83 (157.175). When no response from CG
Atlantic City, CG 6527 contacted Activities Baltimore (157.15) & established
radio guard with them. Gave position as 3857N/7623W enroute back to Atlantic
City.
4. In the early 1400 hours CG 41-359 (41-ft utility boat) establish comms
w/CG Station Curtis Bay (157.175). Once comms were established in the clear
they went into encrypted comms checks. Station Curtis Bay had trouble
establishing encrypted comms. CG 41-359 setting out on patrol w/5 POB.
5. In the early 1900 hour the Cutter James Rankin (WLM-555 Baltimore)
notified the Pennington Ave drawbridge (156.65) that they were in the Cg Yard
offloading their last buoy and would soon be underway from the CG Yard for
their patrol.
