Mike & everyone,

I was looking over the snow plow listing on Yahoo Groups and have some info
to add to the Howard County and the Montgomery County listings.

Howard County:

I've not seen any evidence of these talkgroups being active on the TRS yet.
That's not to say that they don't exist, I've just not seen them. I monitor
the system with Trunker 24/7 and have never seen them light up. I CAN
confirm however, that the current HIGHWAYS-GOV'T 1 Frequency 151.1150
(103.5Hz) is being simulcast on the ASTRO system like all the other public
safety secondary and LG channels in DIGITAL modulation unfortunately.

The present HIGHWAYS talkgroup on their ASTRO system is 36624 (8f10). 64012
(fa0c) is the UNIT ID for the input from the VHF Simulcast for those who are
interested.

Montgomery County:

It appears their HIGHWAYS/ROADS channels have been broadcasting what sounds
like units from the RIDE-ON bus service over the past few weeks. Traffic on
these channels does not appear to be simulcasted on their ASTRO TRS.
RIDE-ON radio traffic continues as normal on their 452.xxxx frequencies.
I've not yet determined if there is a simulcast going on or possible poor
signal coverage going on. It does appear that the north-county RIDE-ON
traffic shows up on the northern ROADS freqs as south-county RIDE-ON radio
traffic is showing up on the southern ROADS freqs, too.

If anyone has more on why this is, please post the info.

I guess we'll see the results of the forecast by Thursday afternoon and the
results from the radio activity in response to the weather.
