I've been baffled by the LANT channels.  They appear to be intended for
inter-operability with non-marine radio users.  But the odd part is that the
LANT freqs and corresponding numbers appear to vary so much, it makes me
suspect they are assigned independently at each CG district, or perhaps even
at the station level.

Any clues anyone?
