Working there gives them an abundance of supplies;).
My last experience was with the Ballston Radio Shack. I asked for
potentiometers, and one guys said they never heard of such a thing.
Personally I take my local electronics store over RS any day. They are
always knowledgeable about supplies they have, willing trouble shoot issues
or order specialty parts.
RS is a last resort.
