For future reference, you would have been better off going to the
Microcenter in Vienna, which has oodles of BIOS batteries. It carries the
1/2-AA, 3.6 volt lithium cell that is the backup battery for Macintosh
computers. RS has it too, but for nearly twice the price. CompUSA does
not have them at all.

Oh, I'm familiar with the effect. Sometimes, after an RS employee has
said, "no, we don't sell [shortwave radios, scanners, whatever]," you
have to take him or her by the hand, lead him or her to the item, point
it out to him or her, and say, slowly and clearly, "yes, you do."
