All,

In response to the latest sniper shooting the following law enforcement 
related air activity was noted:

1. In the mid 0700 hour (EDT) helo 516 was noted working with Omaha 4 
(probable AS-350) and Air Guard 1 in patrolling airspace around the shooting 
area. There was also mention of a FBI helo, FBI-1 circling over a church in 
the area. Omaha 04 was still patrolling in the area during the late 0900 
hour. 

2. In the late 0700 hour Air Guard 1 and Condor 1 (DCPD helo) were on 155.475 
coordinating their activities in the Chevy Chase area.

3. In the mid 0800 hour PG 1 was on helo unicom (123.025) patrolling the 
Capital Beltway in the area of the shooting while PG 2 was working with the 
Command Post on 155.475.

4. In the early 1100 hour chat between a couple of news helos (123.025) 
indicated that the Montgomery PD was requesting that all non-official helos 
were to maintain an altitude of 1500 ft or higher or face being asked to 
leave the area. Seems the amount of helo traffic and the aircraft noise were 
bothersome.
