Did you ever find out who actually made the call to the ISP? I find it =
hard to believe that the FBI would really be wasting resources required =
to track down the source, the ISP, etc. If they had nothing better to =
do on 9/11, of all days, than call ISPs, maybe now that things have =
quieted down, a couple agents from the Washington field office can come =
mow my lawn and wash my car. I'm real busy, ya' know. =20
Seriously though, anybody who is overly-touching about scanning could =
call up the ISP and say "I'm the FBI, turn it off" and on 9/11, nobody =
would question it. But afterward, I sure would want to know who made =
the decision and the phone call, and why. Nobody wants to jeopardize =
security, of course, so a little clarity would go a long way.
My apologies if this topic was already covered after 9/11, I am a =
post-9/11 subscriber to the list.
________
People were freaking out and the FBI called=20
out ISP and asked if we could shut it down (our phones were out re:=20
9-11).
