DCFD is working with Motorola, the provider for the radio system. Motorola officials "claim" that DCFD needs at least 4 more antennas for the system to work properly. Motorola rolled out its new "portable" antenna system which mounts to any type of apparatus, usually engines or chief's vehicles. They unveiled this system literally right after they were blasted for the failing of their radios in the 9/11 World Trade Center disaster. Remember, Motorola has a history of "underestimating" the amount of antennas needed for their system to work properly. Just ask Montgomery County,MD. The "fix" usually means millions more.

help with onscene communication? It was featured on channel 9 news a few

Thanks in advance,
