[Scan-DC] Digital Scanner

Just looked at Scannerworld.com.   Now, I know what I'm going ask Santa
for Christmas! 

Is the $319 digital card accessory required for the BC250D or the BC785D?
 I plan to only listen to fire calls for Fairfax, Arlington and
Alexandria.
