[Scan-DC] Possible Live Scramble-16 Jul 02

In the late 2200 hour (EDT) there may have been a live scramble by two F-16s 
(css Snake) from the 119th FS NJ ANG at Atlantic City.

Snake 01 flight was noted checking in with Huntress (228.9) and 
authenticating his communications.  The flight leader then asked Huntress for 
the bogey dope and passed the target course and altitude to his wingman. Both 
aircraft were noted on their A-A freq (138.425) exchanging target 
information. After a few minutes, the wingman notified the flight leader that 
he had acquired the target on his radar. 

The last I heard of this activity, the flight leader notified Huntress that 
he was slowing down and descending, presumably to visually acquire the 
target.
