Clear Channel owns both Merriweather & Nissan. I had a friend who did group
sales for both of them over the past 3 or so years. Unfortunately, she's
moved on to bigger and better things, otherwise I'd get the inside frequency
info. I'll try and call her to see if she remembers any radio details.
I can say that I've monitored Merriweather on & off during the summer for
the last 9 or 10 years and never heard much interesting traffic. The
majority of the traffic is usually between event staff--ushers and
quasi-security folks yelling into their radios to be heard above the loud
music about people needing assistance or busting someone for smoking where
they shouldn't be. Things perk up a bit when a big T-Storm rolls through
during a show. It seems like that happens at least every other show or so,
being that Merriweather is pretty much an outdoor venue, aside from the
pavillion. Unfortunately, its not the most interesting radio traffic, much
to my amazement.
I know that at Merriweather, there's a command trailer used by HoCo Police.
I believe they communicate unit to unit on 155.3700(Police-3), Repeater Ops
for the concert detail on 155.5950 (Police-2) or 155.8200 (Police -6). Of
course, their main dispatch frequency for the southern district would be on
155.1150 (Police-5).
