Hey Joe:

Aint just your county.   PC is running amuck here as well.  Joe gets drunk
and hits city bus with his car.  Did he mean to hit the bus?  Well, if he
had then it was intentional.  Here that would be aggravated assault with the
vehicle as a weapon.  Maybe.  It just depends on what Lt arrives on the
scene.  I've answered that kind of call and the Lt (our Sgts are
investigators) wanted him charged with vandalism.  Ok, Sir, if that's what
you want.

I ride a police car as well as a fire truck (I don't get paid for one and
enjoy it immensely more, guess which one).   My police dept calls it an
accident and my fire dept calls it a collision.  I used to be an officer in
Illinois and they are now filing "Illinois Crash Reports."

Look on the bright side, at least we're not calling it a "negative vehicle
interface."   Not yet.
