The intermod in the area of Frederick Road (MD 355) & Mont. Village Ave (MD
124) is one of the worst places in the metro area. When they used to hold
hamfests at the Montgomery County fairgrounds a few years ago, it was nearly
impossible to xmit/recv w/o intermod. Ironic, maybe that's why they don't
hold Hamfests there anymore.

A good place to go if you want to go high up on a hill to see what you can
pull in is in Germantown. Try the parking lot of the Neelsville middle
school at the intersection of Frederick Rd and Neelsville Church Road, about
a block north of MD 118. You'll definitely will be at an advantage.
