NIST, ATF and PWC Fire Dept performed the first of three nights of
controlled burns last night in a strip shopping center that is about to be
torn down. They will be back again tonight and tomorrow around 8p.
There is plenty of parking for viewing. Corner of Smoketown and Minnieville
by the KFC across the road from Home Depot.

AND, I can confirm that PWC FD Channel 14 IS 154.145. That is what they used
for the exercise - the most interesting radio message was Command Post
telling everyone that ceiling joists had reached a temperature of 1500
degrees F within ten minutes of ignition of a stack of wooden pallets. They
placed water barrels of some sort on the roof to add weight to see how the
roof would collapse. This was an extremely well controlled burn of a center
store in a long row.
