I was listening to the shortwave last night; Alex Jones, one of those
call-in talk shows to be specific (note: this does not mean I agree with
everything I hear on Alex Jones. I was just shortwave-surfing.) A truck
driver crossing Nevada on I-80 called in. He was listening to Alex Jones
on XM. The antenna is, he said, not that big. What "big" means in
relation to a semi, I do not know.
I can see where people on the road all the time would get to like XM and
its rival a lot. I know when I crossed the country, my idea of what I'd
like to listen to on the radio was unavailable outside of big cities. I
grew tired of listening to the same fifteen tapes.
I'm too cheap to pay for TV, FWIW.
